One-inch cut steaks are sold individually frozen and vacuum-sealed. Steaks range in price from $10 - $30 depending on size and cut of steak. Prices listed are based on mid-average price per cut.
Cuts available:
- Rib steak $ 25/lb (one inch cut) - Rib steaks ranges $10-16 depending on weight and are listed at average price of $13.
- Ribeye @ $27/lb (one inch cut) - Ribeyes range from $10 - $15 depending on weight and are listed at average price of $12.50.
- Striploin @ $30/lb (one inch cut) - Striploins range from $8 - $12 depending on weight and are listed at average price of $10.
- Tenderloin @ $40/lb (one and a half inch cut) Tenderloins range from $12 - $20 depending on weight and are listed at average price of $16.
Bison meat is similar to beef but richer and sweeter tasting. It is a very healthy protein source, very low in fat, calories and cholesterol, but very high in iron.
Bison is a bright royal red colour prior to cooking. Due to the low fat content, you need to cook bison slowly and at a low heat to ensure ultimate tenderness (e.g. medium heat on a BBQ / stove top or 275 degrees in the oven).
