Melissa Smeets is the chief dough puncher, cook and bottle washer at Melly Rolls. She specializes in sushi and other rolled specialties, including spanakopita, baklava and summer rolls.
Melissa lived in Japan for 16 years and trained as a pastry chef at the Cordon Bleu in Paris. Last summer, she began offering her sushi at local farmers' markets.
During the winter months, Melissa offers her handmade specialties on “Melly Rolls Days” and provides local catering as well. Delish!
