What is the Homegrown Hamper?
We are an online catalogue of local food products and artisan goods that serves the Trent Hills region, as well as Norwood, Havelock, Stirling and Codrington. Consumers can place a bi-weekly order of their favourite products for pick up or home delivery.
Where do your products come from?
The majority of our products are raised, grown, harvested, processed, and created by small producers and farms within a 25 km radius of Campbellford, Ontario. For some artisan and non-perishable food products we have had to look a little further afield.
How do you determine your prices?
Prices in our catalogue are set by our producers. You pay the same price for goods that you would pay at the farm gate, producer's website or market. A $5 shopping fee is added to each order.
When is my online order due?
Orders are due on the Monday before Hamper Day by 9 p.m.
How do I pay for my order?
You can send an e-transfer to firstname.lastname@example.org Don't forget the "the" in our email address! Or you can pay with a good old-fashioned cheque or cash on Hamper Day when you receive your order.
What about ordering meat and cheese?
If you have ordered any meat or cheese, your final balance will need to be adjusted. Both are priced by weight and we won't know the actual weight until we pick up your items from the producers the day before Hamper Day. We will reimburse any remaining credit in cash when you receive your order.
Where do I pick up my hamper?
You will pick up your hamper in at Homegrown Hamper Headquarters (HHH), between 3 and 6:00 pm at 202 Front Street North in Campbellford. Bring a cooler or freezer bags if you are picking up frozen or refrigerated goods.

Do you offer home delivery?
We deliver to Campbellford, Warkworth, Hastings, Norwood, Havelock, Springbrook, and Stirling ( must be within 25 km of Hamper headquarters). Home delivery costs a flat rate of $10. Your hamper will be delivered between 5 and 9 p.m. on Hamper Day. If you cannot be home for delivery, please leave an empty cooler or freezer bag ready for any frozen or refrigerated products.
I don't see my favourite product and I'm sure the producer offers it -- can you get it for me?
Our catalogue does not list every single product some of our producers offer. You can contact the producer directly to make a personal custom order to add to your Homegrown Hamper order at no extra cost. If a product is listed as "out of stock," be patient -- fresh produce may not yet be in season or a farmer may be getting ready to process another animal, so the cut of meat you are looking for won't be available until the following month. We also work with small batch producers so they may only have limited quantities of their product each month -- best to get your order in early!
My favourite producer isn't here and but they should be! Can you add them to the catalogue?
Please keep supporting your favourite producer and tell them to get in touch with us -- we can't promise we'll add them to the catalogue but we'd love to learn about them. Similar to a farmer's market, we try to offer a wide variety of products and consumer choices and to be fair to our existing producers, we try not to duplicate too many products. We will continue to add new homegrown and handmade local items to our catalogue as people request them.
I don't live within 25 km of Trent Hills. Can I still order from the Homegrown Hamper?
Absolutely! If you can come to pick up your hamper (or ask a friend!) on Hamper Day between 3 and 6 p.m., you can order from the Homegrown Hamper. If you are unable to do this, you can arrange to have it delivered to a friend or relative who does live within our radius.
I am trying to order more than one of the same product but in a different flavour/pattern/option and the online store won't let me. What do I do?
We are trying to figure this out! For now, please order the products as separate items and choose the product option you'd like for each item.
I've already completed my order but I forgot something! Do I have to pay another shopping fee?
No problem! Let us know and we will e-mail you a code to use so you can submit an additional order with no extra shopping fee.
