Glenlea Farm

Jenny Madden of Glenlea Farm has been growing cut flowers in her gardens north of Warkworth since she moved to Trent Hills in 2004.  She is a vendor at the Campbellford Farmers’ Market and loves arranging fresh mixed bouquets.  Jenny says that the question she’s most often asked about her flowers is “how long will they last?”. The answer all depends on the variety, and how they’re cared for once cut, but Jenny says that for her, the temporal nature of cut flowers is one of their charms. “Cut flowers remind us to live in the moment and see the beauty that is all around us right now,” she says. Jenny creatively mixes bulbs, annuals, perennials, shrubs, grasses, herbs, and foraged greens to make her one- of-a-kind bouquets. She uses sustainable growing methods, and everything that she sells is grown (and/or harvested) by her.
